Sprearmint Cuts Excess Hair Growth in Women

Spearmint Cuts Excess Hair From Women Researchers from Turkey found that spearmint tea may spur a hormonal shift that helps women curb unwanted hair. The researchers asked 21 women with hirsutism to drink spearmint tea twice a day for five days. Blood tests showed that the women's levels of androgens -- hormones that include testosterone -- dipped after drinking the spearmint tea for the five days. While it’s normal for women to have androgens, high androgen levels can lead to hirsutism.
